Group Events and Private Parties
Looking for a place to hold a party, business meeting, rehearsal dinner or another event? Located in an industrial, edgy business park just off of Ventura’s Olivas Park Drive, Poseidon Brewing Co. has three spaces of different sizes to reserve and rent: Davy Jones’ Locker, The Diving Bell and The Main Taproom.
Choose us for your private event, and we’ll provide the backdrop and basic setup, plus pour the beer, of course. Meanwhile, you can bring in your own food, have it catered or order food from the day’s visiting food truck (see food truck Calendar).
Davy Jones’ Locker
Among other legends, Davy Jones’ Locker comes from nautical folklore referring to pub owners who kidnapped sailors. At Poseidon Brewing Co., there’s certainly no kidnapping here, but this fully private space is so cozy, you and others in your party might never want to leave! Poseidon Brewing Co.’s first ever taproom, this 500-square-foot space is great for private gatherings like birthdays, retirement parties, rehearsal dinners, showers, reunions, company celebrations, mixers and more. The taproom itself is comfortable for 40 guests, however, we can open up the taproom to the brewery and back patio area for larger groups of up to 80 guests.
While enjoying one of Poseidon’s craft beers, check out the creative detail in our hand-painted Poseidon sign and the authentic divers’ helmets light fixtures. Or take a trip back in time, examining our replica “Map of the World,” dating back to the 1500s and depicting sea monsters and other “threats” of the day.
Come enjoy it all. Slide up to the decadent reclaimed wormwood bar or other seating areas in what was—and will always be—our first location. We’ll handle the ropes! At ease, served by your own personal beertender (included with rental fee), you and your Poseidon posse can truly relax amid a one-of-a-kind brewery experience. Bottoms up!
Davy Jones Locker is available in four-hour blocks by reservation only. Taproom rental fee: $200, (+$50 for brewery access). Minimum drink order of $200.
The Diving Bell
Named after the small, often bell-shaped chambers used to transport divers to and from underwater worksites, The Diving Bell is a private space just off our Main Taproom.
Comfortably seating up to 15 people, this area is ideal for get-togethers with friends and family, small team meetings or office parties, board meetings, retreats, small mixers, and clubs. A shoulder-height bar makes for a great place to stow gifts, business materials, swag, food and other little items. Warm hardwoods reminiscent of marine decking, subtle seaside features, and an ornate oyster chandelier bring in natural elements and a sense of serenity to this polished brewery offering.
The Diving Bell is available for private events/parties by reservation only. However, there is no rental fee, minimum drink order, or time commitment required.
The Main Taproom
With a capacity to serve 100-plus people, our main taproom can be rented for larger private events, complete with ample seating plus room for catering and entertainment, including DJs and live bands.
From stem to stern, the space spans a spacious 3,700 square feet, featuring 18-foot ceilings, sleek, industrial-inspired design touches, and warm, contemporary furnishings. A large garage door rolls up to complement ambient lighting and create an airy, open vibe, not detracting from the big beer cooler and main attraction: our 20-foot bar with 24 taps and belly room for 12. It’s perfect for gatherings like class reunions, office parties, networking events and more.
Colorful Poseidon Brewing Co. artwork (think: divers, mermaids and more) sprawls across the backbar wall and throughout the taproom, adding whimsy and flair to our brewery’s scaled-out nautical theme. Check out our nautical accents and the color scheme when planning your private event!
The Main Taproom’s rental fee and minimum time required is based on the day/time requested. Please contact us for details.
